Frequently Asked Questions
No. All of the horses at Kay's Acres are professionally trained and beginner friendly. Most of our riders have little or no riding experience. The horses know their jobs well and always enjoy taking first time riders. Also, the rides are walk only for the safety of horse and rider.
The rides are walk only, for the safety and comfort of both horse and rider. Under no circumstances may the horses be run. Riders found intentionally running their horse will be asked to dismount and return to the barn.
Our standard groups are 8 riders per group to provide the best experience. If you're planning a larger outing, we can accommodate groups of up to 60 guests. Give us a call and a member of our team will help you coordinate your group ride.
Yes. Reservations are paid for and booked in advance for all Kay's Acres services.
Please arrive 20 minutes early. Your ride may leave without you if you're late, and if others are scheduled at the same riding time, unfortunately we can't wait for your group to arrive.
Cancellation & Reservation Policy
Reservations are non-refundable.If you are unable to attend your scheduled ride, your reservation may be transferred to a friend or family member or rescheduled with at least 48 hours' notice. Rescheduling and transfer requests may be subject to a processing fee.Requests made less than 48 hours before your scheduled ride cannot be guaranteed.
